To say that Audrilabs manufactures only top audio equipment is giving someone a false idea of what we really do.
Trying to complement by saying that we also work with makers of some of the best audio equipments out there is… true. But we would still be missing something.
What we really do goes beyond the pure electronic theory and the four walls of an R&D lab.
Yes, we do things in a different way.
Because we know music can offer “more than meets the ears”.
Music surrounds us in every way while we listen to it. It can make us feel happy and relaxed at the same time. In other words, it can be a pleasure for all of our senses. We know that. And we want to make that
moment when you sit down to listen to your favorite tunes the best one possible.
We also see room for innovation. We understand that no one will ever be able to reproduce the effect that a live concert has on someone with electronic devices. One can get close, but still no cigar. It’s like an unreachable line, where we can always give a step towards it, but never a step on it. Therefore, we have an infinite path of innovation to follow, and we want to go all the way to that nonexistent end.
Ok. Let’s start by recording some good music inside our perfect studio. Here’s how it’s done.
Consider a mic, but not just any mic, a special one that was designed to work with any sound pressure level without distortion and noise. Plug this mic into a preamplifier via a lossless cable. Our mic-preamplifier has standard specifications such as infinite gain, slew rate, input impedance, zero ohm output impedance and 0.000000% of THD + noise. Connect the amplifier with a mixing console via another lossless cable. We can listen to any music nuances easily because the studio monitors have absolute flat phase and frequency responses.
Now, if we had the equipment described above, we would probably win a Noble Prize of Science since these devices don’t exist.
In the real world, distortion, noises, loss, crosstalk, intermodulation and other nonlinearities are always there.
We know it and we also know it’s impossible to avoid any of them.
Hence, we engineer everything inside our products to make those effects go unnoticed, sometimes even work for us in order to get as close as possible to a live concert.
Our goal is to bring beauty and science together, creating a delicious harmony between them.
Moreover, we want to translate that harmony into an unforgettable experience to the user.
Now, to make all of this happen, we came up with one golden rule.
There are no rules
Years of research showed us that not every belief should be taken into account when you try to bring live music to your room.
